General Assembly in Madrid

CEPI General Assemblies and Board meetings took place at the end of May under the Madrid sun, at the invitation of our Spanish member association AEGI (Asociacion Empresarial de Gestion Inmobiliaria). The sessions were particularly important, various long-term projects taking shape little by little. On this occasion, CEPI had again joined with Gruppo Planner to participate actively in the 12th edition of SIMA, the annual Madrid International Real Estate Trade Fair. Our members had the opportunity to participate in the international conference programme, inaugurated notably by CEPI President, Timo Multanen, and to visit the exhibitors' stands. We also had our own stand in the heart of the international space, which allowed visitors to get acquainted with the work of CEPI, to meet our national member associations for example of Finland, The Netherlands, Germany, Czech Republic or Belgium, and for our members to meet with Spanish professionals and investigate new business opportunities.

This journey was the occasion to meet with the members of ICREA (International Consortium of Real Estate Associations), coming from all over the world including India, Brazil, Canada or the United States, to discuss our common projects and gather at a gala dinner organized by AEGI on a magnificent terrace overlooking the city. We also took the opportunity to meet and organize working meetings with NAR and CEI representatives.

We would like to thank again AEGI for the warm welcome which the President and all the staff gave us. We are delighted to have supported AEGI in its work in Spain, and hope that on their side they were able to take advantage of the international presence to position themselves as an actor of reference with the companies present at the fair, and to inform their members of their European commitment.

The next General Assembly will take place in November in Vienna, in parallel with the second CEPI European Real Estate Convention, which will be dedicated this year to the basic education and lifelong training of real estate professionals, and co-organized by our member FIV (Fachverband der Immobilien- und Vermögenstreuhänder).
