2013 Residential market report for Belgium: inflation rate above average sales price increase

In its recent report, the Federation of Belgian Notaries indicates a steady yearly growth of transactions of 1.1% since 2009. In 2012, the average sales prices for a house was of 226814€. Apartments were sold for just less than 200.000€. With an inflation rate of 2.6%, price increases were slightly negative.

Registration fees show a stable situation for the third trimester of the year. October an November, in turn, indicate a strong increase of almost 7%, while we note an increase of only 2% for 2012 compared to 2011.
