Take part in a survey on the first year of the European Professional Card (EPC)

The European Commission published on 17 march an online survey to gather views on the first year of operation of the EPC. Since January 2016, the EPC has been available for general care nurses, physiotherapists, pharmacists, real estate agents and mountain guides. The Commission is now inviting views and reports of experiences with this initiative. The results will be used to complete the Commission’s assessment of progress to date.
The EPC is an electronic procedure, currently available on a voluntary basis for five different professions. It is supported by the Internal Market Information (IMI) system and is intended to make the recognition of qualifications easier and quicker. The EPC is available both for the purposes of temporary and occasional provision of services and permanent establishment in another EU Member State. The application is made online to the home Member State of the professional and forwarded electronically to the host Member State. It results in an electronic certificate, rather than an actual plastic card.

The survey targets in particular public authorities and professional organisations representing the five professions currently concerned. Further details, together with a link to the survey, are available at http://ec.europa.eu/growth/tools-databases/newsroom/cf/itemdetail.cfm?item_id=9102&lang=en.
