CEPI met in London 23 to 24 October at the kind invitation of its UK member the National Association of Estate Agents (NAEA).
Highlights of the two days of meetings included the Propertymark Qualifications Awards Event at the House of Lords celebrating achievement in the property industry and hosted by Lord Richard Best, Chair of the Regulation of Property Agents working group which recently published its recommendations on regulation of the sector. A full programme of CEPI activities included meetings of the professional divisions representing property managers (CEAB) and estate agents (PAC) as well as working meetings on education, communication and policy, in addition to meetings of the CEPI Board and General Meeting. Elections took place for a new CEPI Board and President for a mandate starting on 1 January 2020.
CEPI was particularly pleased to have the support of its knowledge partners OPISAS and IAHSP, both of which were present in London and shared their expertise with CEPI members. Representatives from the Data Protection Group Ireland were also present to inform members about solutions on GDPR, and from ORIS to present an online anti-money laundering tool. CEPI was also happy to welcome a number of new members and observers and looks forward to continuing to expand its network and activities.
