The HOME (Home Of Mobile Europeans) project is funded by the European Commission and aims to promote international mobility by providing students and trainees with an easier way to find their new home abroad. Presentations about the HOME project were given by some of the partners in this project; UIPI, HousingAnywhere and the European University Foundation (EUF). The session also included discussion of quality labels and their criteria for the student accommodation providers. The importance of student accommodation was highlighted; as approximately 800 000 foreign students, exchange students and trainees look for short-term accommodation annually. This number is expected to double or even triple as the European Union plans to increase the funding of the Erasmus+ programme, bringing the total funding of the Erasmus+ programme for the period 2021-2027 to 30 - 45 billion Euros.
