Multiannual Financial Framework 2021-2027 and Next Generation EU - State of play. What is at stake for local and regional authorities? – Online event


On the 27th of November 2020, the Secretariat of CEPI attended the online seminar “Multiannual Financial Framework 2021-2027 and Next Generation EU - State of play” organised by the Urban Intergroup (European Parliament).
The event aimed at presenting the state of play of the next Multiannual Financial Framework (2021-2027) and analysing which role local and regional authorities will play within this framework. The event, introduced by the two Vice-Presidents of the URBAN Intergroup Ms. Fabienne Keller and Mr. Andreas Schieder and moderated by Jan Olbrycht, President of the URBAN Intergroup and MFF co-rapporteur, saw the participation of Ms. Anna Lisa Boni, Secretary General of EUROCITIES, Mr. Fréderic Vallier, Secretary General of the Council of European Municipalities and Regions (CEMR) and Mr. Nicolas Brookes, Executive Director of the Conference of Peripheral Maritime Regions of Europe (CPMR). The panel underlined the crucial role of local and regional authorities in shaping the post-COVID-19 Europe, which will be greener, more digital and able to cope with current and future challenges.
