Construction Alliance 2050: The role of construction in the national Recovery Plans - online event

On December 2nd, CEPI attended the online event “The role of construction in the national Recovery Plans”, organised by the Construction Alliance 2050.
Construction Alliance 2050 is a group of European organisations working together to advance the needs and priorities of the wider construction and built-environment sector at EU level. With this event, the Construction Alliance aimed at highlighting the opportunities existing within the National Recovery Plans for professionals of the construction sector.

Speakers at the event included representatives from the European Institutions (Ms. Maria Teresa Fàbregas, Director of the Recovery and Resilience Task Force from the European Commission, MEP Ms. Iskra Mihaylova and MEP Ms. Pernille Weiss, from the Industry, Research and Energy Committee of the European Parliament ITRE), and from National Authorities of Member States. The meeting highlighted the importance of investing in the built environment, in that it represents 9% of the EU GDP and it provides for 18 million of direct jobs.
