CEPI calls for clear and consistent regulation of the real estate professions

The real estate professions are regulated in a number of European countries with differences in the level of national regulation where it exists, in certain countries there is self-regulation, and in others nothing at all.
CEPI recognises the differences in markets and national practices and legal systems that are reflected in the varying regimes in different countries, but in its latest position now calls for clear and consistent national regulation of the real estate professions based on common minimum rules in the interests of the development of the real estate professions and protection of consumers.

CEPI strongly supports the need for high-quality professional services in the real estate sector which can only be ensured by such common minimum rules for the real estate professions guaranteed by regulation at national level. The full position is available here.
