NAR Legislative Meetings & Trade Expo 2021 – CEPI participates as speaker in the International Lobbying Panel

On May 5, 2021, CEPI President, Ms Karen Van De Woestijne, participated as one of the three main speakers in the “NAR Lobbying Strategy: An Overview for International Members” session held during the 11-days online NAR Legislative Meetings & Trade Expo 2021 event.
Other speakers of this panel, moderated by Charlie Dawson, leader of the NAR Engagement team and part of the NAR Member Experience, Engagement & Legal group, included Mr David Wluka, President of Wluka Real Estate Corp and longstanding member of NAR and Mr Joe Harris, Vice President of NAR Government Advocacy.

The panel discussion included useful information and insights on lobbying techniques and real-life successful lobbying and engagement experiences in the United States and Europe. Participants were able to exchange views and inquire speakers on topical issues during the dedicated Q&A session. It was agreed to further strengthen the links between NAR and CEPI and to jointly continue their advocacy role as leading organisations for the real estate profession on both sides of the atlantic.
