On 19 May, 2021, the CEPI Secretariat attended the workshop “Fostering the green & digital transitions”, organised by Trinomics on behalf of the European Commission’s DG ENERGY.
The workshop was the fourth of a series of five workshops with the purpose of providing support to the impact assessment and the stakeholder consultation process concerning the revision of the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive 2010/31/EU (EPBD). This workshop specifically focused on fostering the green & digital transitions within the revision process.
The event was opened by Mr Stefan Moser, Head of Unit at the DG ENERGY, who introduced the plans for the revision of the EPBD. He emphasised the importance of research, public consultations, and best evidence based decision making in the revision process. Subsequently, the floor was opened for participants to share their views on the Commission’s plans. The rest of the event was divided in three discussion sessions on topics such as the Smart Readiness Indicator and the Building Renovation Passport, which were moderated by Mr Frank Gérard, Senior Expert in the Energy Transition and Low Carbon Economy at Trinomics, Ms Irati Artola, Consultant at Trinomics, and Mr. Peter Lemoine, Senior Expert at Trinomics.
