European Parliament: what’s coming up?

This week, the European Parliament has disclosed some of the most important issues EP members will be dealing with in the coming months.

This new political season of the European institutions will be opened by the traditional State of the Union Speech by the President of the Commission Ursula von der Leyen, which will take place on September 15, 2021 and in which the Commission will address the policy priorities for the year ahead.

Among the policy priorities listed by the European Parliament (Conference on the Future of Europe, farm policy, preparedness for health crises), the Secretariat of CEPI will keep a close eye on policy developments in the field of climate action, digital services, diversity and inclusion and the scrutiny of Member States’ recovery and resilience plans.
