"What will Europe’s digital economy look like after the Digital Services Act?" – online event

On March 22, the Secretariat of CEPI participated in the online event "What will Europe’s digital economy look like after the Digital Services Act?" organised by Euractiv.
In the Digital Services Act, special attention is given to digital services and online platforms. This Regulation will implement a legislative model protecting consumers’ and businesses’ rights. In particular, it will allow them to enjoy a more protected environment and to experience “free internet” by guaranteeing more transparency and clarity. During the event, panellists had the chance to explain more in detail how consumers will benefit from this and how the Regulation could be improved.

Experts present at the event included: MEP Mr Sandro Gozi, (Renew Europe Group, Italy); Mr Joan Barata, Intermediary Liability Fellow, Program on Platform Regulation, Stanford Cyber Policy Center; Ms Asha Allen, Advocacy Director for Europe, Online Expression and Civic Space Centre for Democracy and Technology; Ms Siada El Ramly, Director-General, Dot Europe.
