Can the EU foster a global green transition? The international implications of achieving the European Green Deal - hybrid event


On May 13, the CEPI Secretariat attended the hybrid conference “Can the EU foster a global green transition?  The international implications of achieving the European Green Deal”, organised by the Open Society European Policy Institute, The Club of Rome and SYSTEMIQ, in partnership with Euractiv.
During the event hosted in the Euractiv offices in Brussels, the co-organisers presented their new report titled “International System Change Compass. The Global Implications of Achieving the European Green Deal”. An interesting Q&A session followed. The report and executive summary are available for consultation and download here.

Speakers of the event included Ms Heather Grabbe, Director of the Open Society European Policy Institute, Ms Sandrine Dixson-Declève, Co-President of The Club of Rome, Mr, Janez Potocnik, Co-Chair of the UN International Resource Panel, Partner at SYSTEMIQ and former European Commissioner for the Environment, Ms Faten Aggad, Senior Climate Diplomacy Advisor at the African Climate Foundation and former Senior Advisor to the African Union High Representative on AU-EU Negotiations, and Mr Steven Everts, Senior Advisor on Strategy and Communications to HR/VP Josep Borrell at the European External Action Service.
