CEPI General Meeting and elections in Sofia (Bulgaria) at the kind invitation of CEPI member NREA

In the framework of Bulgarian CEPI member NREA’s celebration of their 30th anniversary, CEPI hosted in beautiful Sofia, its first in-person General Meeting session (23-25 June) after two years of virtual meetings.

During the three-day session, CEPI held meetings of its professional divisions representing property managers and real estate agents; meetings of the permanent technical committees working in fields such as Policy, Education and Communications, as well as meetings of the CEPI Board of Directors and General Meeting.

Not only CEPI-related meetings, members have also had the opportunity to participate in the interesting International Panel Discussions-Day organized by NREA. The agenda of the day, at which many CEPI delegates also participated as speakers, included topics such as:

    • European real estate panorama - discussion panel on current issues of the European market
    • Challenges and opportunities of regulated markets
    • A green, sustainable and energy-efficient future
    • Policies and tools to protect data against money laundering

Furthermore, a selected number of CEPI members of the Regulation Support Group, together with NREA President Mr Ganev and CEPI Director Ms Perfanova, also had the chance to meet with the Deputy Minister of Regional Development and Public Works of Bulgaria.

This three-day in-person session was also the occasion to announce new members and observers from Ukraine, Romania and Albania, and to elect the new President of the association for a mandate of three years until the end of 2025. Mr Jan Borůvka, from Czech member ARK CR and already Chair of the CEPI Regulation Support Group, is the new President of the Association, elected unanimously by members present and represented during this important election, which happens almost simultaneously with the new EU Presidency, held now for six months by the Czech Republic. We congratulate Mr Borůvka on this important achievement, and we thank our previous presidents for their work.

CEPI takes this opportunity to thank again NREA for the kind invitation and excellent execution of this event.
