Fit for 55: How can we REPower consumers for energy security and sustainability? - online event

On July 12, CEPI attended the online event “Fit for 55: How can we REPower consumers for energy security and sustainability?” organized by Euractiv in partnership with Schneider Electric.

The event, moderated by Euractiv Journalist Ms Jennifer Baker, focused on current goals and challenges faced by the EU to ensure energy security and sustainability considering climate change and the current geopolitical international situation. Speakers also touched upon the issue of energy supply, the skilling and upskilling of concerned workers, taxonomy, eco-design, digitalisation, and other related subjects, such as for example the important matter of the energy performance in buildings.

Speakers of the event included: MEP Mr Ciaran Cuffe, Rapporteur of the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD) revision, Ms Adela Tesarova, Head of Unit for Consumers, Local Initiatives, Just Transition at the Directorate General Energy - European Commission, Mr Philippe Delorme, CEO Europe Operations at Schneider Electric, Mr Thomas Pellerin-Carlin, Director at Jacques Delors Energy Centre, and Mr Andreas Graf, Senior Associate EU Energy Policy at Agora Energiewende.
