Trends in the European Residential Property Market 2009 - CEPI report
In the first part, this report analyses housing and the economic crisis. The second part deals with the residential market in 2009 which we see as a "patchwork" loosely composed of four patches or groups. The first group saw prices rise in 2009, the second saw large falls in prices, the third group in Eastern Europe experienced mixed fortunes, and the fourth group in Western Europe is made up of countries in which the movements in prices were more moderate, and some markets were stable. It seems that the year 2009 saw a patchy recovery for the property market in Europe as a whole…
