On the occasion of the General Assembly of last 23 November organised at Maastricht (NL) courtesy of the Dutch association NVM, Claudine Speltz was re-elected to the presidency of CEPI. The Board and CEPI member associations wish to offer her their warm congratulations and assure her of their full support. Click here to find out more about her professional background.
The European Committee of Property Managers (CEAB) and the Committee of Estate Agents (EPAG) also asked Luis de Prado and Jan Borůvka to extend their mandates as president, for which we would also like to congratulate them most sincerely.
In these times of crisis, the General Assembly reiterated its wish to work as a priority on lobbying in 2013, with a view to supporting professional associations in their need to defend and enhance the status of the property professions in respect both of professionals and consumers.
The NVM had organised, amongst other things, a visit to a large construction site called “Groen loper” which is intended to decongest the town which is experiencing traffic growth and to build quality dwellings. In effect, above a tunnel of two storeys 2.5 km in length will be arranged a green space which will allow residents to walk in all tranquillity; only local traffic will be authorised along the developed section. The size of the task requires the daily labour of more than 1.400 people. A number of years will still be required before this space is inaugurated.
We take this opportunity to thank warmly the NVM, and Mildred Rijneker in particular, for the quality both professional and personal of our stay in Maastricht.
