CEPI Position Paper on the Implementation of Directive 2005/36/EC as Regards Regulation and the Need for Reform in Professional Services

CEPI follows closely all elements of the services package published by the European Commission at the beginning of this year and currently under discussion at the European Parliament. It takes a particular interest in the Communication on reform recommendations for regulation in professional services which contains guidance on reform needs addressed to Member States for specific professions including real estate agents.
On 11 October the Internal Market and Consumer Protection (IMCO) Committee of the European Parliament discussed the proposed amendments to the report published by Nicola Danti MEP over the summer. CEPI welcomes Mr Danti’s report and in particular the interest shown by MEPs in recognising the importance of the professions in Europe and the quality of professional services.
