CEPI Statement on the Revision of the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD)

CEPI published today its position on the revision of the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD).

CEPI supports the efforts of the European Union and its Member States in tackling climate change and environmental degradation. However, many questions relating to the renovation of the existing building stock still remain to be answered. Solutions need to be found that will not be damaging to the real estate market, owners or occupants.

Real estate professionals have a key role to play as an interface between energy experts and the consumer. The expertise and experience of real estate agents and property managers enables them to contribute to the debate on how to achieve energy efficient savings by focusing on how to get the best results in the renovation of buildings.

CEPI’s statement on the revision of the EPBD is available in the publications section on our website, you can also read the full text here.
